We’re delighted to share that Phase 4 of the building project is now complete. Since work resumed in late 2024, the builders have created the new meeting room with its hatch through to the kitchen, installed the kitchen ceiling, connected the new boiler, cemented the back foyer and opened up the corridor through to the hall. The new underfloor heating is now up and running throughout the hall.

2025 was another fantastic year for fundraising. Our bingo night with White Gold Fish and Chips raised £482, and a Charles Dickens recitation raised a further £437. We were also grateful to receive grant funding of £20,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation, £4,000 from The Beatrice Laing Trust and £5,000 from Babergh District Council.

Between fundraisers, grants and donations, we raised £79,000 in 2025, bringing our grand total to £165,000. We now need around £63,000 more to reopen the hall, though we expect to need to raise further funds to deal with some roof issues we’ve recently discovered.

Don’t miss our next fundraiser: comedian Andy Kind is performing on 7th March, with tickets £12.50 for adults and £5 for children.
