Church Policies

These are the policies the church follows in its wider life together. Each one is a PDF you’re welcome to download and read.

Safeguarding Policy

Our commitment to the care and protection of children, young people and adults at risk: how we welcome them into church life, choose and support those who work with them, and respond to any concerns.

Data Protection Policy

How the church looks after the personal information it holds about members, regular attenders, volunteers and others, and the rights everyone has over their own information.

Website Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy covers the website you’re using now, run by Bures Baptist Church, High Street, Bures, Suffolk, CO8 5JG. If you have any questions about how we handle your information, please get in touch via our Contact page.

What we collect, and why

If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message so we can reply to you. That’s the only information this website asks you for.

Your submission is emailed to a member of church staff so they can respond, and kept in our records for as long as is reasonably needed to do that. You can ask us to delete it at any time - see “Your rights” below.

Keeping the contact form spam-free

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help us tell real enquiries apart from automated spam, running invisibly in the background rather than asking you to solve a puzzle. This means some technical information about your visit (such as your device and browser) is shared with Google - see Google’s Privacy Policy for how they handle it.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or any other tracking to monitor your visit.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time - just get in touch via our Contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the website changes. The current version is always the one published here.
