We started this year with our fantastic annual quiz – 2025 was our best attended one yet. Thanks to all who came, we raised a brilliant £707. Our next fundraiser was a church Gift Day. We are so grateful to God for thesacrifices our little congregation are prepared to make because they are invested in the future of this church and this village. - [Three New Toilets and a Floor Removed](https://www.buresbaptistchurch.org/2025/04/24/three-new-toilets-and-a-floor-removed/): Following two or three months of hard work from the builders, we now have three fresh toilets and the old floor removed. One refurbished, one extended and one new disabled-access toilet. This last month, the team has been busy removing the internal porch, stage and floor from the hall and the kitchen, ready for improved damp and waterproofing and the under-floor heating.

We are excited to give you a first glimpse at some of the changes going on behind the scenes. We have knocked through to our new corridor, (which can now be accessed from the back door as well as the side) and the tiles, flooring and toilet units are going in! Hats off to our builders – G Baster Building Services Ltd for their professionalism, reliability and generalgood sense of humour! - [October 2024 Update](https://www.buresbaptistchurch.org/2024/10/30/october-2024-update/): BIG NEWS! We have hit the £100,000 mark and now have enough funds to start Phase 2 of our build! Smashed £100K!Our current total is a massive £113,794 for which we are so grateful to all our supporters and to God, for His faithfulness! We are around half-way, so please do continue to donate so we can make a great start on the next £100,000! - [December 2023 Update](https://www.buresbaptistchurch.org/2023/12/09/december-2023-update/): As the year comes to a close, we are reflecting once again on God’s faithfulness to us and the huge blessing the community and all our supporters have been this year. In 2023 through events, donations and grants we have added over £45,000 to our fundraising total! This last term we have held a busy car boot sale on the village common and a fun evening brimful of sea shanties with the Shanty Folk! Thanks to your generous support, we have achieved some significant milestones. At this point we have successfully secured over £80,000 through a combination of grant applications, community fundraisers and the donations of our church and friends. This means that we have been able to begin the first phase of our building work, which is the construction of the glass corridor that will run parallel to the kitchen. - [December 2022 Update](https://www.buresbaptistchurch.org/2022/12/19/december-2022-update/): 2022 has been an amazing fundraising year for us, including a quiz night, a bingo night, a gift day at church, a Christmas card post box for donations and grant applications. Currently the total funds raised stands at £37,300! We’ve been overwhelmed by the positivity and support from the whole community, and we are grateful for every single donation. Thank you all so much. Particular thanks goes out to the Bures Music Festival for awarding us £1000 this year in addition to the £487 they gave us previously – thank you for your generosity! Huge thanks to everyone who organised, helped or baked. We had a fantastic evening full of laughs! We are so encouraged by everyone’s support.

- [January 2019 Update](https://www.buresbaptistchurch.org/2019/01/19/january-2019-update/): We’re excited to share that our fundraising has got off to a flying start and we have hit our first thousand! We’ve been amazed by people’s generosity and hard work, thank you! Major contributors were our fabulous toddler group, hitting the Bures Christmas market with a beautiful stall of hand-crafted goods, a fantastic café/bar evening with live music run by our social team and greetings card sales in our hall.
